July 8 | World Allergy Day

World allergy day is celebrated today for all those who suffer from some allergy.

World allergy day is marked on 8 July and is a joint initiative between the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Allergy Organization. Raising awareness of the importance of treating allergies and preventing them is one of the main objectives of this day.

We can classify an allergy as an exaggerated response by our immune system when in contact with an external substance - allergen, in which our body develops special antibodies that trigger an inflammatory response, which can manifest itself in different areas of our body.
Among the most frequent cases of allergy are rhinitis, urticaria, food allergies, dermatitis, among others. However, the severity of the allergy depends on the time of exposure, and can even become chronic, as in cases of allergic rhinitis.
About 250 million people worldwide suffer from some of allergic disease. Environmental factors and lifestyle are mainly responsible for the alarming increase in allergies.
The first step in the control of this type of disease is the correct diagnosis and the identification of factors that promote allergy.
After the diagnosis, it is urgent to train the person and the family for the correct and timely treatment of crises and to promote lifestyles that avoid contact with substances or factors that enhance the allergic response as much as possible.

Tecnosaúde could not fail to mention this day that affects the quality of life of so many people, calling for prevention and the adoption of healthy lifestyles.

We also remember the training we did last month on Allergic Rhinitis, for those who did not have the opportunity to view - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUealgYa3BE&t=703s
